It is amazing how fast one month can go by. It’s pretty wild to think that a month ago Matt and I were carrying on with everyday life, anticipating the arrival of Baby Fraz. Then, in an instant (more like a few hours), we were blessed with the arrival of such an amazing little boy. It’s neat to look back and think about how quickly we adapted to being parents. Now that Holden has become a part of our lives, I just couldn’t imagine life without him. He makes me smile inside and out!
In the past month we have watched him become more and more alert. He now follows us with his eyes as we walk past him. He turns his head to our voices. The best thing that he does is that he smiles at us! At first we thought it was just a fluke but as we “tested” it, we noticed that it is completely intentional! When it happens, it just makes you melt! He has started more consistently sleeping for 5-6 hours at night which is amazing! We also have done some bottle trials as well so that Matt has a chance to bond more and to make sure he can take a bottle for when I have to go back to work.
Matt took Holden and me to Valley View Farms on Mother’s Day to get our veggie plants for our garden. The next day, Holden, Linus and I planted everything thanks to Matt’s hard work tilling up the dirt! We had a great time! It’s neat to think that these plants will produce the first veggies that Holden will eat!!!
Another significant event in Holden’s 3rd week of life was him peeing through his diaper AND outfit 4 times in one morning (despite frequent diaper changes)!! Prior to this I had opened up the size 1 diapers and determined that he wasn”t ready for them because they went all the way up to his armpits!! Boy was I wrong!! So size 1 it is! My newborn is now an infant!
So now that a month has passed by, all I can say is that I love him more than I ever imagined possible and I am the luckiest mom in the world!!
Enjoy the pictures!!
Until next time…
Erin 🙂
p.s. The dogs are getting along great with Holden! Sascha is camera shy and Linus is a ham so he hogs all of the shots!!
oh my gosh- could he be any more precious? Glad to hear you are enjoying your new addition. Wonderful that the dogs are getting along with him too (I always wonder how Frank will do once we have a baby). You are looking FABULOUS as well. Just glowing 🙂
